Even today, no decision could be taken in the case of cancellation of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and ICSE 12th examinations.
The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of the case for Thursday. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, the central government sought time till Thursday to take the final decision.
The court while giving time to the government said that if the government adopts a policy different from the previous year’s policy, then its reason will have to be given.
The petition calls for the cancellation of the 12th exams on the basis of the corona epidemic.
In the Supreme Court, the Central Government said that it will take a final decision on conducting or canceling the CBSE and ICSE Board Class 12 examination in two days and will present its decision before the court by Thursday.
At the same time, some states in the meeting with the Union Ministry of Education have supported the examination, but some states are opposed to it.
Apart from this, a group of students is also demanding cancellation of the exam.
Examination possible after 25 July
Any announcement regarding the 12th board examination will be done only after seeing the stand of the Supreme Court, but the Ministry of Education is busy finalizing its preparations related to the exam.
It has also held a high level meeting with the Prime Minister’s Office regarding this.
It is important to note that in the meantime, under the plan prepared for the exam related preparations, the 12th board examination can be conducted after July 25.
