College reopen news: Mohan Yadav, the minister of higher education in Madhya Pradesh, declared that the college will reopen following COVID-19 guidelines.
BHOPAL: Universities and colleges in Madhya Pradesh will return with 50% attendance on September 15 after being closed for months because of the COVID-9 epidemic, an official said on Saturday.
According to the source, the state has at least 1,400 institutions and 56 universities with over 13.5 lakh students, two lakh of them are newcomers. In a statement, state Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav said, “All professors and non-teaching personnel have been directed to give courses with 50% students from September 15.” He stated that certifications of having received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination are required for teaching, non-teaching personnel, and students.
Apart from that, the minister stated that COVID-19 proper behaviour must be rigorously observed to on college and university campuses. Students will continue to take online lessons, and administrators have been instructed to create a timetable for both online and offline sessions, he added. Libraries, hostels, and the mess will reopen in stages in accordance with COVID-19 standards, according to Yadav. On Friday, Madhya Pradesh witnessed five new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of active infections in the state to 130.
