According to the poll, four out of every five young people, or 80%, suffer from mental health issues.
The world came to a halt as a result of the new coronavirus epidemic. Everything crumbled, from ordinary individuals’ everyday lives to the economy of major international powers, and now attempts are underway to get them back on their feet. There’s more to this epidemic than meets the eye, though. It has also resulted in a significant decrease in the mental health of many people, particularly young people. People who have lost their employment or students who have been unable to complete their education have been the most affected.
According to an article in Amar Ujala, a poll done by the UK Health Foundation found that 86 percent of young people aged 22 to 26 think their mental health has been negatively affected as a result of the virus’s widespread devastation.
According to the poll, the youth are extremely frustrated since they have been unable to achieve goals that their educational credentials and professional experience have allowed them to achieve. The same 86 percent of young people believe that a lack of networking and interaction with the appropriate people has harmed their lives. Seventy-three percent of young people feel that those with contacts were able to find work even during the epidemic.
According to the poll, four out of every five young people, or 80%, suffer from mental health issues. In compared to the pre-pandemic era, over 69 percent, or 7 out of 10 teenagers, believe it is extremely difficult to obtain mental health care now.
Unfortunately, the situation remains severe, with the youth feeling that it is becoming increasingly harder for individuals to keep their current work. At least 54% of those polled said they are forced to take contract work, and 35% feel it will be difficult to find a stable and excellent job in the next six months.
